Othman John Mekhloufi: The Man Behind The Charlie Kirk Kill List

Let me tell you folks, revenge is fun.

During my research on the Dominion Society, I found one character of considerable intrigue on the periphery of the organisation and its circles.  That man, Othman Mekhloufi, was a staffer for the Deepak Suri campaign and known to be an ally of the Dominion Society.  As I noted before, Othman in conversation with the Dominion Society outlined that there is a need for the Dominion Society to welcome neo-Nazis and other radicals into the fold, in order to give sympathetic party operatives the opportunity to steer mainstream parties towards meeting the broader policy goals of the Dominion Society.

Explanations of Othman's thinking, helpfully provided by Othman Mekhloufi.

I believed then that Othman Mekhloufi is the person responsible for the Charlie's Murderers site and published to my blog around 7 am on the 11th outlining his involvement.  To recap, this was based on the fact that Mekhloufi was the first individual to promote it on Twitter and the fact that it principally targets Rachel Gilmore on false pretenses, portraying her condemnation of the murder and speculation about extremist actors using it as a rallying point for further violence as support for the assassination.

I know it's you.

I believe I have found confirmation that Othman John Mekloufi is the individual behind the website, but I want to walk through the inquiries of others.  Ryan Fae posted to Bluesky his interactions with Mekhloufi, in which Mekhloufi tried lying about the ties to an account based in Florida.  This fell apart upon Fae's inquiries with that account, which showed Mekhloufi lied and actually informed that account of the list instead.  Fae then noted that  Mekhloufi said something else to a different reporter, attributing it to a firm that he works for in the capacity as a spokesman.  Fae postulates that Mekhloufi knows who created the site.  I agree.  Because it's him.

even more confusingly, when questioned separately by @mikaelthalen.bsky.social, who was working on a similar story, Mekhloufi painted a different picture: "[The website]’s run by a tech/data firm which I represent as a spokesperson." what?

After careful analysis of the website myself (unfortunately before I saw Fae's posts), I found a very curious feature: site data shows that the website is based in Canada, under a British Colombia time zone, and following Canadian DST rules and other information suggesting a Canadian-based site.  It is hosted by an extremely cheap, lower end hosting site, suggesting that this is not a site connected to a professional tech firm in any meaningful capacity.  After all, why would a dedicated firm not have a better idea of price-efficient registrars? Further analysis by others, human and AI, confirms that the information provided is indeed from someone in Othman's general area.  This is not just a question of Othman promoting it.

Note: This information was corroborated by human coders

Do you feel that, Othman?  That's me getting closer.  I bet you even glide, like a lizard on ice.

But just before preparing to publish this information, I was sent further intelligence corroborating Othman's role in this list, specifically, a memecoin that is linked to his twitter and to the website.  We at the Canadian Influence Watchdog sincerely thank this observant individual and their own hard work in identifying fascists.  It appears Othman has given up on fully concealing his role in the website's operation, likely because he has a dozen people who know his role.  It's hilarious that he gave up this quickly.  Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.

This is a pumpcoin listing directly naming Othman Mekhloufi's account as related to the coin listing.

We got you.

Relating this back to the Dominion Society and Diagolon connection, it is readily apparent that Othman Mekhloufi, in his efforts to appear useful to his Canadian allies, gave the game away very quickly.  Gilmore is a frequent target of Diagolon, which has been previous accused by the Canada Press Freedom Project of stalking Gilmore and taking pictures of her and her location.  This should also be further contextualised with threats that Diagolon has made against others for reporting on their activities, such as Evan Balgord, telling him to "get out of Dodge."  During the same livestream, they mocked Gilmore for talking about the death threats she received and expressed their glee at her receiving these threats.

Not exactly convincing anyone that you're not threatening anyone.

Jeremy MacKenzie made similar statements about Rachel Gilmore, preceding a fantasy of Alex Vriend's in which he saves her from people of colour trying to attack her.  Given Mekhloufi's previous statements of how Conservative parties in Canada need organisations like the Dominion Society, it is readily apparent that the intent of the construction of the site was indeed to incite against the individuals listed by attempting to falsely associate them with the violence that unfolded on September 10.  There would be no reason to name someone like Gilmore otherwise.  Furthermore, it is extremely apparent that Mekhloufi is afraid of further exposure, as he has since removed public listings from the website, ostensibly because he is aware that he is now subject to potential legal exposure.

Furthermore, Mekhloufi has repeatedly made it clear that he supports widespread state violence against those he deems his political opponents, echoing calls by Jeremy MacKenzie and Alex Vriend to have their opponents jailed and drawing comparisons of Rachel Gilmore to Julius Streicher (who, to be clear, these men support).  Gilmore has not killed anyone, nor is it remotely plausible to say that anyone has died due to her reporting.  Nor is it plausible to say that there is any valid reason for "jailing Democrats," as Mekhloufi has repeatedly called for.

Save this for later, it will be extremely funny.

Mekhloufi has expressed repeated sympathies for extremist ideologies even after mass deleting tweets related to his extremism in an effort to thwart investigations by Will Stancil.  Drawing further ideological comparisons to his allies in the Dominion Society, Othman encourages "accelerationism," specifically such a framework that instead sees the post-Civil War America as development that now leads to a "correction" that transforms America into his vision of an autocratic society.  Mekhloufi compares Trump to the Gracchi brothers, reformers who are seen by conservative historians as having led to the collapse of the Roman Republic, and then states that the collapse of democratic norms and institutions must be continued in

A quite explicit encouragement of Republicans' attempts to further undermine democratic norms and institutional independence from the political considerations of the Republican Party.

From there, it's only natural that Mekhloufi would incite against his political opponents, it's an intent that he does not really make any effort to hide beyond a weak disclaimer that he seems to think protects him from legal liability.  It's obvious the man wants to destroy the lives of those he names and relishes in the thought that he can pressure institutions into firing critics of himself, of Kirk, and of the Republican Party.  He took to Twitter to call his enemies all terrorists, that they are an ultimate evil that must face extensive punishment and be purged from society.  These are not simply fantasies, they are direct incitement against his political enemies, the very kind he accuses others of making against conservatives.  Is it then any wonder that Rachel Gilmore is receiving more death threats?

Indeed, it doesn't even end at his political enemies, it extends to minorities too.  Mekhloufi is more than content to tell his followers (in a quote retweet of notorious incestuous paedophile Solionath) that transgender people are "coming for" their children.  This is the sort of language that precedes genocides, mass killings, and other atrocities.  He even has a fixture on "anti-white" politicians, because his politics overtly aligns with white supremacism not just in rhetoric, but with the organisations he associates and discusses strategy with.  He is an entryist attempting to radicalise the BC Tories into a much more extreme direction than anything seen in modern history.

In summary, what Mekhloufi has done is try to create an environment that accommodates the desire of right-wing extremists to normalise efforts to intimidating their opponents into silence, by enacting threats and other violence, leveraging public outcry over the Charlie Kirk assassination to do so.  That has led to his targets having their livelihoods destroyed, led to his associates (which he was forced to distance from) posting the addresses and personal information of targets, and led to his followers issuing death threats.  Mekhloufi has associations with the Dominion Society, although maintains some distance from the organisation, ostensibly because he is, in his words, a "paper Canadian," and because of these connections has taken up common cause against their enemies, most notably a freelance journalist whose crime is simply criticism. In all, I think a comment from one of the Dominion Society followers aptly describes his approach to these sorts of extreme politics as a Conservative political operative:

His role, indeed.

Now, get the fuck out of my country.

Antisemitism, Genocide, and the Dominion Society: How neo-Nazis Want To Cleanse Canada

Following my previous article on the Dominion Society , it has become increasingly clear that my assessment of the organisation has proven to be largely correct:  This is a neo-Nazi organisation, attempting to professionalise white supremacists across Canada to bring about a shift in acceptable political discourse by presenting the policy demands of neo-Nazis as defences of "Canadian heritage."  During a Twitter Space hosted by Diagolon leadership figure Alex Vriend and other minor neo-Nazi podcasters, Daniel Tyrie has functionally admitted to all of this, ranging from declarations that the entryist vehicle seeks to encourage the recruitment of "radicals" (meaning radical racists) to "push the Overton Window," and declaring that the Dominion Society will stand for "Actual Canadians," not "Jews, Muslims, and Khalistanis," supposedly in contrast with our government.   Daniel Tyrie makes it abundantly clear that he is trying to fight so-c...

How the Dominion Society Founder Got His Start In Campus Activism

Several years ago, campuses across Canada's major cities found themselves the sites of efforts to mobilise students behind far-right causes.  Organisations such as the Students for Western Civilisation, ID Canada, and Canada First popped up with the intent of organising students and youth towards explicitly white nationalist causes.  Other organisations attempted to instead frame their far-right advocacy in terms of "free speech" and "open inquiry," which really functioned as an excuse to host hate activists using campus resources, to expose impressionable youth to the fledgling alt-right.  These groups included the Free Speech Club (FSC) and Students for Free Expression (SFE) at the University of British Columbia , the Laurier Society for Open Inquiry (LSOI) at Laurier and the University of Waterloo, and Students in Support of Free Speech (SSFS) at York and the University of Toronto.  In some cases such as the SSFS, the organisation was founded or had initial ...
